The Vicksburg man jailed in the hot-grease attack on a teen was moved to the Warren County Jail Wednesday, and his case is expected to be handed over to the October term of the Warren County grand jury.
Fadell Wilson, 46, 201 Springridge Drive, on Wednesday made his first court appearance since his arrest early Tuesday in the attack on Monday night. He was charged with aggravated assault of a teen and mayhem in the attack on 16-year-old Micah Andrews, who lived at the same address with his grandmother and Wilson.
Micah remained in fair condition this morning at the Joseph B. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga., a spokesman at the hospital said, after he was flown there from River Region Medical Center Monday night. Lt. Bobby Stewart of the Vicksburg Police Department has said the teen received second- and thrid-degree burns on the upper part of his body in the fight over a television.
In Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday, Wilson was read the charges, and he was held on $50,000 bond in the Warren County jail after initially being held in the Issaquena County Jail.
