A Pattison man was in Issaquena County Jail Friday after being arrested on outstanding forgery charges.

Curtis Ellis, 44, 3186 Barland Road, was taken into custody at 11:45 a.m. at the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office, said Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart. Ellis had been picked up by Claiborne County deputies on unrelated misdemeanor charges when a records check revealed an outstanding warrant in Vicksburg.

Ellis was charged with cashing a counterfeit check July 15 at Walmart, 2150 Iowa Blvd., Stewart said. He was being held on $10,000 bond.
