Katie Ferrell has been named assistant branch manager and banking officer of BancorpSouth on U.S. 61 North.

Ferrell, a Vicksburg native, has been with BancorpSouth for a year, but has six years of banking experience. She has a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences-hospitality management from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Ferrell is an ambassador of the Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and is secretary of the Riverfest board. She is married to Christopher Neil Ferrell of Madison.
