Tim Kavanaugh, chief of interpretation and education at the Vicksburg National Military Park, will be the speaker at the September meeting of the Vicksburg Association of Marketing Professionals.

The noon Sept. 1 event will be at Ameristar Casino’s Heritage Buffet.

Kavanaugh retired from the National Guard after 24 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in American history from the State University of New York College at Oneonta and a master’s in education from Albany State.
