Services for Elmira Kennard will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion M.B. Church, Ballground, with the Rev. Charlie Blackmore officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home with family hour from 5 until 6.

Mrs. Kennard died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 83.

Born in Warren County, Mrs. Kennard lived in Chicago for 35 years and retired as hotel manager from the Holiday Inn. She was a member of Mount Zion M.B. Church.
