Darlene B. Winningham passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 56.

Darlene was the loving daughter of Mary Lou Bennett and the late Joe Bennett. She was born in Greenwood, Miss., and had resided in Vicksburg for a number of years.

She worked at River Region Medical Center, enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and any outdoors activity and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

She is survived by her mother; her husband, Larry Winningham of Vicksburg; sister, Tina Winn of Florida; two daughters, Stacy Browning of Louisiana and Kristy Griffin of Vicksburg; three sons, Bobby Joe Brown (wife Lindsay) and Michael Winningham (wife Casey), both of Vicksburg, and Bradley Winningham of Jackson; eight grandchildren; and a number of nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Fisher Funeral Home with Bishop Richard Lance officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Baker, Wesley Boykin, Tommy Herrod, T.W. Stubbs, Butch Phillips and Jarvis Mosley.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.W. Wright, Malcolm Williams and James Muirhead.
