Tools, radios, jewelry missing in city, county

Radios and money were among items reported missing in Vicksburg Wednesday, crime analyst Suzan Ebeling said.
A JVC AM/FM CD/MP3 player radio valued at $239 was reported stolen from a 1994 Ford Ranger and a Sony radio valued at $150 was reported taken from a 1998 Chevrolet Silverado, both in the 400 block Terminal Circle at 3:46 p.m. The owners were together when they discovered their property was missing, Ebeling said.
About $1,166 was reported taken from a purse at a home in the 1300 block of Fayette Street at 4:57 p.m.
About $540 were reported stolen from a wallet at J&V Variety Store, 3512 N. Washington St., at 8:53 p.m.
The store owner, to whom the wallet belongs, noticed it missing Friday and found it without the money Saturday, Ebeling said.
A hydraulic jack valued at $30 and three cartons of Marlboro cigarettes valued at $120 were reported stolen from a truck in the 1600 block of Washington Street at 8:18 a.m.
In Warren County, heating and cooling appliances were among items reported missing Wednesday, records showed.
An air conditioner valued at $1,100 and a wall heater valued at $250 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Vernon Lane at 12:45 p.m.
Four rings and coins were reported missing from a home in the 100 block of Blackwell Drive at 10:45 a.m.
Deputy in wreck in good condition
Warren County Deputy Timothy Ware, 31, who was involved in a two-car accident at Clay Street and North Frontage Road Tuesday night, was in good condition at River Region Medical Center this morning, a hospital spokesman said.
Ware suffered a concussion and a broken collar bone, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said, while deputies pursued Douglas Walters, 21, 1414 First East St., who was accused of felony eluding and several misdemeanor charges including domestic violence and resisting arrest Tuesday.
Walters remained in the Warren County Jail this morning.
