“Two bad fumbles. Fumbles are our Achilles’ Heel right now,” Tallulah coach John Weaver said. “There’s some bright spots. We’re getting better every week. Being able to play with them after getting embarrassed by St. Al last week and a call here or there and we win 24-12.”

Tallulah led 6-0 at halftime, but Glenbrook tied it late in the third quarter on a 74-yard fumble return by Chandler Singleton. A 20-yard TD pass from Jes Shivers to John Robert Fortenberry on the first play of the fourth quarter put Tallulah back in front, but a pair of costly turnovers down the stretch allowed Glenbrook to rally again.

After an interception on Tallulah’s next series, Peter Wise and Preston Wise hooked up for a 7-yard TD pass to tie it again. Shivers threw another pick on the Trojans’ next series, and the Wises chased in again. An 8-yard touchdown pass with 2:44 to play put Glenbrook ahead 18-12.

Shivers completed 6 of 8 passes for 180 yards and the TD and also ran for 51 yards. Fortenberry caught three passes for 64 yards.
