Hugh Charles “Chuck” Holland died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.

Mr. Holland was born in Eupora and lived in Eagle Lake. He retired from Tanner Industries after 46 years as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Clara Raye Holland.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Wade Holland; a son, Charles Holland of Randolph, Tenn.; three daughters, Angie Goolsby of Brandon, Lynn Pairemore of Olive Branch and Alice Sills of Baltimore; two brothers, Glenn Holland of Tampa, Fla., and Jack Holland of Baltimore; and six grandchildren. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 until 5 today at the funeral home chapel.
