Rush, Mayo to recite vows Oct. 3 in Jackson

Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Rush of Byram announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kimberly “Erin,” to Kelly Justin Mayo of Quitman. Mr. Mayo is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Harley Mayo of Meridian and Helen Boykin Mayo of Arkansas.

Miss Rush is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmit E. Wilson of Hazlehurst, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Rush of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy T.  Ainsworth of Vicksburg.

Mr. Mayo is the grandson of Cora Cooper of Butler, Ala., and the late Dewey and Nellie Mayo of Quitman.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree.

Dr. Rush is an associate veterinarian at Randall Veterinary Hospital in Byram.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in poultry science.

Mr. Mayo is a poultry service technician at Marshall Durbin in Waynesboro.

Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Oct. 3, 2009, at Alta Woods Baptist Church in Jackson. A reception will follow in the Forestry Building at the Agricultural Museum.
