Guns, ATV, Schwinn mountain bike among missing items

Guns and a GPS system were reported stolen in Vicksburg over the weekend, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
A 270 Winchester rifle valued at $450, a Ruger pistol valued at $300 and two pistols valued at $250 each were reported stolen at 4:01 a.m. Sunday from the Sports Center, 3500 Pemberton Square Blvd.
A Garmin Nuvi GPS system valued at $500 was reported stolen at 9:11 a.m. Saturday from a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox that had been parked in the 1200 block of Grove Street.
In the county:
• A 1995 Honda ATV valued at $2,000 was reported stolen at 7:24 a.m. Friday from a 1995 Chevrolet Z71 pickup that had been parked in the 2500 block of Warriors Trail.
• A fuse box and fuses valued at $600, a table saw valued at $200, a Schwinn men’s mountain bike valued at $700 and a stainless steel sink valued at $268 were reported stolen at 1:31 p.m. Saturday from a home in the 4900 block of Oak Ridge Road.
• A Mercury outboard gas tank and line valued at $300 were reported stolen at 8:39 p.m. Sunday from a boat that had been parked in the 80 block of Pine Tree Lane.
Eight treated, released in five weekend wrecks
Eight people were injured in five wrecks over the weekend.
• Tommie Johnson, 57, 4415 South 28th St., Phoenix, was in a wreck at 8:06 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge and Villanova roads.
• Gayilyn Sanders, 41, and Carlysha Sanders, 10, both of 213 Meadow Lane, and Tyree Chambers, 6, 1780 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., were in a two-car wreck at 1:08 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 61 and Warrenton Road.
• Destinee Wilburt, 14, and Charles McClinty, 33, both of 2615 Nikos Place, Arlington, Texas, were in a one-car rollover at 9:40 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 20 west, about 10 miles outside Vicksburg.
• Kenneth Tarleton, 41, 100 Frank and Cora Road, Hermanville, was in a wreck at 2:01 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 61 South, at the Big Black River bridge.
• Tammy Carter, 36, 780 U.S. 61 North, was in a one-car wreck at 2:28 p.m. Saturday at Interstate 20 and U.S. 61 North.
All were taken to River Region Medical Center, where they were treated and released, a spokesman said.
