Warren Central loses three straight in tourney

Warren Central played in a slow-pitch tournament in Clinton on Saturday and lost all three games.
“We’re just not generating runs with the kind of hits we’re getting,” WC coach Lucy Young said.
In the first game, the Lady Vikes (4-9) fell to Pearl 12-0. Katie Channell had two of the Lady Vikes’ six hits in the contest.
In the second game, WC lost to host Clinton 6-0. Alexis Patterson had two hits for WC, but the Lady Vikes were outhit 10-6. In the final game, a 10-3 loss to Ridgeland, Sydnei Smith and Megan McCullough had three hits apiece. The Lady Vikes matched hits with Ridgeland with 14, but left 13 baserunners stranded.
