A Vicksburg physician has been recertified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. George Abraham II, a member of River Region Health System’s staff, completed 300 hours of continuing education, is licensed to practice medicine in the United States and passed a one-day, written exam.

Abraham, who has been practicing family medicine for more than 30 years, has a medical degree from the University of Mississippi’s School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency.
