Toni Miles has been promoted to morning anchor at Action 10 News, the CBS affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Miles, a native of Vicksburg, was hired in early August as an investigative reporter and will still work in that role.

Before moving to Texas, Miles worked for about 10 years at stations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. While on the staff at WLOX in Biloxi, she was in the staff that received Peabody and Edward Murrow awards for their work during Hurricane Katrina.

Miles is a graduate of Vicksburg High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.
