NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Annie Maude Lochridge Daniel, 96, of Natchez, who died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, from Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with the Rev. Jason Cole officiating.

Burial and graveside services will follow at 5 p.m. Thursday at Sardis Cemetery in Sparkman, Ark., under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Daniel was born March 15, 1913, in Holly Springs, Ark., the daughter of John Sullenberger Lochridge and Dora Russell Lochridge. She was a graduate of Sparkman High School in Sparkman. Mrs. Daniel retired from J.C. Penney after 15 years of service. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.E. “Dick” Daniel; and her siblings, Albert, Curtis, Clark, Hugh and Doyle Lochridge and Trudie Lochridge Renfro.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Daniel Herrod and husband Ronnie of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Daniel Herrod and wife Michelle, Heather Murphy and husband Richard, Cathy Goss and husband T.L., all of Vicksburg; and nine great-grandchildren, Kristen Martin, Haley Herrod, Holden Herrod, Rich Murphy, Colby Murphy, Austin Murphy, Leanna Goss, Bradley Goss and Kylie Goss, all of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Herrod, Richard Murphy, T.L. Goss, Murphy Galloway, Nathan Calhoun, Allen Burchfield, Bobby Herrod, Richard Ables and Rich Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, 117 Sgt. S. Prentiss Drive, Natchez, MS 39120 or a charity of choice.
