Gloria Marie Steed died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, in Heidelberg, Germany. She was 53.

Ms. Steed, a Warren County native and former resident, held a master’s degree and was an auditor with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hamic Steed Jr., and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include her mother, Alice M. Steed of Vicksburg; sons, Jermain Steed of Jacksonville, Fla., Johnny Steed and Jerome Steed, both of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, Hamic Steed III of North Hollywood, Calif., and Raymond Steed of Vicksburg; sisters, Yolanda S. James of North Hollywood and Carolyn Raymond of Chino, Calif.; one granddaughter and one nephew.
