Warren Central’s tough week continued on Thursday, when it lost 5-0 to Northwest Rankin. It was WC’s second consecutive shutout loss. A pair of unearned runs in the top of the first got Northwest started, and it pulled away from there.

WC finished with four errors and just five hits. In losses to Brandon and Northwest Rankin this week, WC (4-13) has just nine hits total.

WC will try to turn things around on Saturday at the Brookhaven tournament. It’ll play Brookhaven at 10:15 a.m., McComb at 12:35 p.m., and Bogue Chitto at 1:45.
