MAGNOLIA — Services for Lenox Sanders will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at E. Mount Olive M.B. Church in Redlick with the Rev. Isaac Tinner of East Roxie Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Natchez National Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sanders died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at his home in Magnolia, Miss.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Sanders of Magnolia; one son, David Sanders of Hammond, La.; two daughters, Betty Stampley of New Orleans and Dorita Leigh of Chicago; two step-children, Nadina Shaifer of Slidell, La., and Kenton Singleton of Metairie, La.; three brothers, Eugene Wells of New Orleans, Willie Wells Jr. of Harriston, Miss., and Washington Wells of Baton Rouge; one sister, Bessie Jenkins of Port Gibson; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
