Clinton took the team titles at the Viking Invitational cross-country meet in Bovina on Saturday, but area runners made plenty of noise too.

Warren Central freshman Hannah Register won the girls race in a time of 15:59, her third consecutive race win in the 62-runner field. Sekita Shelton gave the Lady Vikes a 1-2 sweep of the top two spots with a time of 16:10. But the Lady Vikes didn’t figure into the team standings with only five runners competing on the 2.3-mile course with Condrea Collins sidelined.
