Gloria A. Scott died Friday, Oct. 2, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 47.

Ms. Scott was born in Claiborne County. She was a member of Calvary M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliot and Ethel Lee Buck Scott of Vicksburg.

She is survived by three sons, Antonio Scott, Daren Scott and Keithen Carter, all of Vicksburg; one daughter, Demetrius D. Scott of Dallas; three brothers, James Scott, Ellis Scott and Nathaniel Scott, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Hazel Scott of Richmond, Calif., and Betty Scott and Ethel Scott of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
