Mr. and Mrs. James McHan of Vicksburg and Robert Billy McGuffie of Bigfork, Mont., announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shannon Lynn McGuffie, to Matthew Arnold Junkin. Mr. Junkin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Luther Junkin Jr. of Merigold.

Miss McGuffie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Boutwell of Satartia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Artie McGuffie of Monticello.

Mr. Junkin is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Luther Junkin Sr. of Cleveland and the late Preston Riley of Boyle.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School, where she served as Student Body president. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Delta State University.

Miss McGuffie is a registered nurse at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Bayou Academy. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Delta State University.

Mr. Junkin is a police officer with the Madison Police Department.

Vows will be exchanged Oct. 10, 2009.
