MONROE, La. — Sheryll Ann Barney died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at her home in Monroe, La. She was 56.

A former Vicksburg resident, Ms. Barney was a 1971 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School. She was a former employee of Cassino’s Florist and Cracker Barrel and was a former assistant manager at Hollywood Casino, Isle of Capri Casino and Casinos of America in Shreveport, La.

She is survived by members of the Flaggs, Barney, James, Richardson and Milling families.

Services were Tuesday at Piney Grove M.B. Church in West Monroe. Burial followed at Richwood Memorial Gardens in Richwood, La., under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Monroe.
