Students at Warren Central High School were in a lockdown Thursday afternoon while school officials investigated a weapons report by a student, said principal Rodney Smith.
“We received a claim from a student that another student had a weapon,” he said. “After that, we went on a temporary lockdown until we discovered everything was safe.”
Smith said school officials did not find a weapon, but the student was disciplined for an unrelated matter.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the situation after the investigation at school was complete.
