Local extras for the cast of “The Crisis” pose on the front lawn of the Old Court House when the movie was filmed here in 1916. A Civil War drama, it was the first to be made in Mississippi. Local men were used as soldiers, but if one donned a Yankee uniform he had to be paid twice as much as a Confederate. No one in this photo is identified.
