MEC’s Hobnob event set for Wednesday

The Vicksburg-Warren County Chamber of Commerce will take part in the eighth annual Hobnob Mississippi, an event sponsored by the Mississippi Economic Council.

Festivities will be from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Museum, 1150 Lakeland Drive in Jackson. Set to attend are Gov. Haley Barbour, Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant and others, including Rep. George Flaggs of Vicksburg and Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann and Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, both formerly of Vicksburg.

Tickets are $50 for MEC and local Chamber members and $75 for nonmembers and are available at www.chambermaster.com.
