Mary V. Hullum

Mary V. Hullum died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 84.

A native and lifelong resident of Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar L. Sr. and Vivian Carpenter Hazzlerigg.

She retired from Waterways Experiment Station in 1985 as a draftsman. She was a member of Redbone United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hullum was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hullum; and three brothers, Larry Hazzlerigg, Maurice Hazzlerigg and W.C. Hazzlerigg.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Hullum of Vicksburg and R.L. Hullum of Petal; two sisters, Vickie H. Smith of Vicksburg and Sally Fazer of Tennessee; three brothers, Henry Hazzlerigg of Mobile, Ala., James Hazzlerigg of Austin, Texas, and Edgar Hazzlerigg Jr. of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Redbone United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Boyd Tweedy officiating. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be J.C. Hullum, Ted Hullum, Donald Hazzlerigg, Jon Will, Chris Evans and Boyd Tweedy.
