Leland Whitehead of Redwood and his horse, Ms. June Bug Taco, were named state champions in the Challenged Riding Class at the State of Mississippi Championship Show in Jackson. They also garnered World Champion honors from the Appaloosa Horse Club in the Challenged Rider class in Jackson in July. Leland is the son of Melissa Brister-Whitehead of Redwood.
