Mr. Robert Carl Ory Jr., age 66, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Brumfield and Jason McGuffie officiating. Graveside services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home. The family and remains will be at the church at 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Ory was born and raised in Jackson County, Miss., and had been a resident of Hermanville for the past 32 years. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Union in Gulfport and was formerly employed by Entergy for over 20 years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Mr. Ory is survived by his wife, Linda L. Ory of Hermanville; son, Robert Anthony “Tony” Ory and his wife, Beverly, of Monroe; daughter, Christina Murray Thomas and her husband, Tommy, of Madison; brother, Gerald Boyd Redmond of Moss Point; sister, Bessie Marie Redmond of Moss Point; his grandchildren, William E. Thomas and Anna Thomas of Hattiesburg; and a special niece, Amber McCraine of Hattiesburg.

Pallbearers will be Bob Gordon, Jerry Smith, Pete Smith, Michael Bull, Percy Johnson and Jerome Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Bob Gordon Men’s Sunday school class at Immanuel Baptist Church.
