Fannie Lee Funches

EDWARDS — Fannie Lee Funches died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at her home. She was 71.
Ms. Funches was a member of St. Mark M.B. Church. She retired from the Hinds County School District after 31 years. She was a school bus driver and cafeteria worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Sallie Ann Thomas; siblings, Bobbie Lee Kinnard, Willie Ann Ford, Walter Thomas, Robert Thomas Jr., Robert Funches, Roosevelt Thomas Sr. and Mildred Estelle; and a stepdaughter, Diane Funches.
Survivors include six daughters, Annette Jones, Shirley Williams, Brenda Heard and Mary Woodhouse, all of Edwards, Barbara Bridges of Jackson and Janice Thompson of Clinton; three sons, Michael Funches of Edwards, Gerone Funches of Los Angeles and Larry Funches of Lansing, Mich.; three sisters, Selena Funches and Mary Peoples of Edwards and Flora Jones of East St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Prince Thomas of Jackson and Andrew Thomas of Vicksburg; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives; and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bolton-Edwards Elementary School in Bolton. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Lake-view Memorial Funeral Home. Repast will be at noon Saturday at the old Edwards Attendance Center cafeteria.
