UTICA — Otha Mims Jr. died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home. He was 57.

Mr. Mims was born in Utica and was a member of Little Rock M.B. Church in Utica.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha Sr. and Tommie K. Mims; and a step-son, Odare “Woo” Mims.

Survivors include three daughters, Kell Lawson of Utica and Catina Mims Stamps and LaKertha Mims, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Danny Mims of Chicago; three sisters, Delores Boykins of Chicago, Myra Simon of Vicksburg and Tommie Pearl Gray of Utica; and other relatives and friends, including Ann Walker of Utica.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Little Rock M.B. Church with the Rev. Frank Mallet officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday at Westhaven Funeral Home in Utica.
