GRACE — Joseph Thomas Sr. died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his home in Grace. He was 91.

Mr. Thomas is survived by eight sons, Sam Thomas, Jim Thomas, Loyd Thomas and Johnnie Thomas, all of Grace, Willie James and Jessie Thomas, both of Chicago, Henry Lee Thomas of Champaign, Ill., and Joseph Thomas Jr. of Locust Grove, Ga.; nine daughters, Lula Bell Herman, Joyce Jones and Gladys Francher, all of Champaign, Catherine Green and Mary Collins, both of Chicago, Alice Oliver of Warner Robins, Ga., and Martha Williams, Josephine Harris and Ethel Brown, all of Grace; 70 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at South Delta High School auditorium in Rolling Fork with Bruce Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at Cameta Cemetery in Anguilla. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
