Woman accused of embezzling from Dollar General

A Vicksburg woman has been charged with embezzling $5,520 in merchandise from Dollar General.
Nakeisha Blue, 24, 385 Ford Road, an employee of the Clay Street store, was arrested at the business at 2:49 p.m. Thursday. The store’s loss-prevention department had been checking Blue’s register as well as surveillance footage for several months, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
“Undoubtedly, they’ve been investigating her,” he said.
Blue was released from the Warren County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Traffic stop results in cocaine charge
A Port Gibson man was charged with possession of cocaine Thursday after a foot chase by Vicksburg police on Honeysuckle Lane.
Darion Hill, 27, 2033 Rodney Road, fled his vehicle about 6:30 p.m. after patrolmen tried to stop him for careless driving, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said. About four grams of cocaine with a street value of $200 was found in the vehicle, Stewart said.
Hill was being held at the Issaquena County Jail for the Mississippi Department of Corrections on $20,000 bond, Stewart said.
2 arrested in county on meth charges
Two people were arrested on drug charges Thursday after a traffic stop on Warriors Trail, Warren County jail records showed.
Lacey Worthy, 29, 1295 Mount Alban Road, is accused of possessing methamphetamine and buying a forbidden amount of pseudophedrine, a meth ingredient. David Brown, 24, 765 Hankinson Road, is accused of possessing methamphetamine.
Both were in jail, without bond, pending court appearances.
Probation violations land two behind bars
A Vicksburg man and woman were in the Warren County Jail this morning on separate probation violations, records showed.
Cedric Garrett, 23, 1425 Oakland St., and Stacy Reynolds, 32, 1715 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., were being held without bond.
Buick missing at 61N business
A car was reported stolen in Warren County Thursday.
At 2:17 p.m., a tan 1991 Buick Riviera with Mississippi tag WBF614 and a value of $1,000, was missing from Keyes Recycling Center on U.S. 61 North.
