Steven Ryan Griffith and Lacey Nicole Stauts were married at 5 p.m. Sept. 19, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Jason McGuffie officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Synthia Stauts of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Bobbie Johnston and the late Henry Johnston and Bobby and Mildred Stauts, all of Vicksburg.

The groom is the son of Phillip and Elaine Williams of Edwards and the late Glen Griffith of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Exo and Dodie Griffith of Vicksburg and the late H.B. and Inez Sanderson of Redwood.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were classic black and white, silver and red.

A program of music was presented by Margaret Richmond, pianist.

Matrons of honor were Gena Carrick of Natchez and Erica Leo of Brandon. Bridesmaids were Brittany Webb of Kenner, La., and Carey Somerville, Laura Wilson, Sara Johnston and Cortni Hamilton, all of Vicksburg.

Joey Griffith of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Mitch Lange and John Stauts, both of Vicksburg; James Leo and Phil Williams, both of Brandon; Chuck Carrick of Natchez; Chris Stauts of Kenner; and Keith Johnson of Kyle, Texas.

Ushers were Michael Goodson and Terry Wong, both of Clinton.

Flower girl was Synthia Goodson of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Kolton Johnson of Kyle.

A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus home. Hostesses were Lynn Boland, Pam Mitchell and Tammy Griffith, all of Vicksburg.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

They will make their home in Vicksburg. The bride is employed at River Region Medical Center, and the groom is employed with Material Delivery Services of Mississippi.

Wedding bash

The bride and groom were honored with a post-wedding bash at Jacques’ Cafe on the night of the wedding. Hosts were Luther Fralick, Mitch Lange and Gena Carrick.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

On the day of the wedding, the bride and her attendants were honored with a bridesmaids’ luncheon hosted by Jeanne Goodson and Lena Ainsworth at the Goodson home. 

Rehearsal dinner

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s brother and sister hosted a rehearsal dinner at Goldie’s Trail Bar-B-Que. The bride and groom chose this time to present gifts to their attendants, parents and hostesses.

Showers

Gena Carrick and Carey Somerville hosted a Pamper the Bride/Pampered Chef shower at the home of Jeanne Goodson in Vicksburg.

James and Erica Leo hosted a couple’s honey-do shower and outdoor bash at the home of Linda McCammon in Vicksburg.

Gena Carrick, Laura Wilson, Lynn Johnston and Sara Johnston hosted a miscellaneous shower and luncheon at the Vicksburg home of Lynn Johnston.

The bride was honored with a miscellaneous shower hosted by Jennifer Hopkins, Casey Stokes, Pam White, Melanie Sones, Harriett Moore, Sheena Ratliff, Kathy Juve, Betty Weston and Erienne Washington at River Region’s Labor and Delivery.

Carey Somerville hosted a lingerie shower for the bride at her home in Vicksburg.
