Antiques show among events in Woodville

The third annual Woodville Antiques Show and Sale is set for this weekend at the European Antique Auction Gallery, 367 U.S. 61.

The three-day show will feature dealers from nine states and will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 and will cover all three days.

Also, the Wilkinson County Museum, housed in the 1834 railroad company office, and the African American Museum, housed inside the 1819 Branch Banking House of the State of Mississippi, will be open for tours during the show.

The county museum will feature a special exhibit called “Inspiring the Next Generation: Exceptional Mississippi Women.”

The African American Museum will debut a permanent William Grant exhibit featuring the work and life of the Wilkinson County native.

Both museums are on the courthouse square.

In addition, an evening gala with local entertainment is set for 7 p.m. Saturday at the Federal Home at Holly Grove Plantation, six miles east of Woodville on Mississippi 33. Cost is $50 per person and reservations are limited.
