ATV shop employee reports early morning robbery

About $800 was reported stolen this morning after an armed robbery at Yasky ATV Accessories at 3210 Wisconsin Ave.

An employee reported two black men, each about 6-foot-tall and weighing about 185 pounds, and both wearing black, zippered, hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and gray bandanas showed guns to him as he attempted to open the store at about 4:30 a.m., Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

They took a money box the employee had and fled in an unknown direction, Stewart said.

Tools, guns hot in county thefts

Power tools and weapons were missing in Warren County Tuesday, records showed.

At 5:45 p.m., a Sig Sauer 9mm handgun valued at $550 was reported stolen from a vehicle, and a Black & Decker staple gun valued at $100 and a Paslode framing gun valued at $250 were reported missing from a shed in the 90 block of Upland Drive.

About an hour earlier, a 5,500-watt generator valued at $400 was reported stolen from a 2005 Dodge 2500 in a parking lot in the 2100 block of U.S. 61 North.

At 8:11 a.m., a Skil 14-inch chain saw valued at $250 was reported stolen from a work truck in the 4400 block of Clay Street.

Rifle reported missing onĀ  Warrenton Road

A gun was missing in Vicksburg Tuesday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

A 7.69×32 SKS rifle valued at $600 was reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Warrenton Road at 5:30 p.m.

City man held for probation violation

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning for probation violation charges, records showed.

Eddie E. Harris, 42, 208 Alfa Drive, was being held without bond.
