La. man held here on solicitation charge

A Louisiana man who was working on the Interstate 20 bridge over the Mississippi River Wednesday was arrested by Vicksburg police on a warrant for Caddo Parish.

Ronald Raybourn, 45, 4426 Main St., Addis, is accused of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said. Raybourn was in the Issaquena County jail without bond, pending extradition.

Shreveport is in Caddo Parish.

Game consoles, glasses among missing items

A power tool and electronics were among items missing in Vicksburg, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

At 5:41 this morning, a Featherlite leaf blower valued at $150, three 50-foot extension cords valued at $15 each and a Weedeater valued at $70 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Kings Crossing.

At 4:58 p.m. Wednesday, a Nintendo GameCube valued at $200, a Gameboy valued at $100 and a Wii game console valued at $200 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Starlight Drive.

At 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, an Alpine CD player valued at $250 was reported stolen from a 1999 Ford Taurus that had been parked in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North.

About an hour earlier, in the 4000 block of South Frontage Road, a pair of J-Lo prescription sunglasses valued at $300 were reported stolen from a 1998 Nissan Maxima.

2 treated, released after wrecks on Clay

Two people were injured in separate accidents on separate ends of Clay Street.

Eric Ashley, 23, 4541 Haleys Point Road, was in a wreck at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday near YMCA Place. West of there and about 30 minutes earlier, Lena Johnson, 25, 603 Newitt Vick Drive, was in an accident near First North Street.

Both were treated and released from River Region Medical Center, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said.

No other information about the wrecks was available.
