St. Francis Xavier Elementary student Elizabeth Keen, 7, winces as she gets ready for Deborah Thigpen of Mission Primary Care to give her a swine flu shot. About 100 Vicksburg Catholic School elementary students received vaccines Wednesday, and 150 at the high school, St. Aloysius, were to get them today. VCS enrolls about 550. In the Vicksburg Warren School District, swine flu shots will be given beginning Nov. 30, the day students return from Thanksgiving break, said information provided by Cyndee Nash, nursing coordinator for the 9,000-student district. Consent forms, to be signed by parents, were sent home Wednesday. Elizabeth is the daughter of Mike and Tiffany Keen. The vaccines were provided by the Mississippi Department of Health.
