TERRY — Tiasha T. Turner died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 16.

Miss Turner was a student at Terry High School where she was an honor student and athlete. She was a member of Terry Grove M.B. Church where she served in the youth choir and ushers ministry.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ira Turner Sr.; maternal grandfather, Huey D. Thompson Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, Charlie and Mae Eulice Turner and Eddie and Martha Crystain; maternal great-grandparents, Jimmy and Nancy Grigsby and Howard and Edna Sparks; and one uncle, Timothy Grigsby.

Survivors include her parents, Ira and Doborah Turner of Terry and Sharon Grigsby of Hermanville; three brothers, Deonte Turner of Jackson, Ramon White and Dominic Turner, both of Terry; three sisters, Tequila Turner of Terry, Taylor Grigsby of Hermanville and Ta’Ja Grigsby of Marrero. La.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Ollie Windmon of Hermanville; maternal grandparents, Henry and Lula Grigsby of Utica, Dorothy Grigsby of Marrero and Vellar Thompson of Terry; other relatives and friends including Quanda Curtis.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Terry Grove M.B. Church with the Rev. Zavean Woodard Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Turner’s Family Cemetery in Hermanville with Jackson Memorial Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 today at the funeral home.
