Eddie Walls III, 49, 501 Reed St., and Earnest Rickey Dotson Jr., 49, 1010 Speed St., were accused of trying to take a 14-foot trailer valued at $1,000 at about 7:53 a.m., Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

The property owner told police the two men fled in a 1991 Chevrolet van, Stewart said. At 8:15 that morning, patrolmen stopped them at Lake and Dewitt streets.
