Deborah Dianne Brown Nevels died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Promise Hospital. She was 54.

Mrs. Nevels had lived in Vicksburg all her life. She was a nurse, having worked at Mercy Hospital, River Region Medical Center and Heritage House.

She graduated in 1973 from Vicksburg High School.

She loved her two dogs, Cee Cee and Journey.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Catherine Nevels; and her parents, Marion and Catherine Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Nevels Sr. of Vicksburg; one stepson, Jimmy Nevels Jr. of Vicksburg; three stepdaughters, Rosaline Bell and Tracy Ann Nevels, both of Vicksburg, and Valerie Murray of Rayville, La.; a sister, Janice Brown of Vicksburg; and numerous grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from noon until the service.

Pallbearers will be Chad Vickers, Craig Vickers, Jay Kramer, Richard Nevels, Larry Nevels and Leon Nevels.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Womack, Velton Nevels and Jessie Williams.
