Catherine Jones died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 71.

Mrs. Jones was born in Vicksburg. She was a member of Zion Traveler Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hamberlin and Lillie Bingham; a daughter, Janice Crook; two brothers, Wendell Hamberlin and Eugene Hamberlin; and a sister, Ruby Jones.

Survivors include seven children, Bennie Hamberlin and Mervin Crook, both of Vicksburg, Diana Crook and Robert Crook, both of Bolton, Beatrice Johnson of Rayville, La., Carolyn Crook of Newport News, Va., and Angela Crook of The Colony, Texas; five siblings, Lillie B. Carter and Bobbie Marble, both of Vicksburg, and John Hamberlin, Frank Hamberlin and Jesse Hamberlin, all of Milwaukee; grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
