It’s not their job

I have not read the massive House health care bill. I doubt that U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, who voted for it, has either, but I do know that it has one huge flaw in it. That is government control.

The Obama administration thinks that big government is not the problem. Big government caused the financial problem that we are in now by encouraging, if not demanding, that lending institutions make home loans to people who could not pay them. This caused a false boom in the housing market, which in turn inflated prices. When people started defaulting, the bottom fell out.

President Obama says that we need a public option to keep the insurance companies honest. Who is going to keep the government honest? Percentage wise, there are many more crooks in Washington than in the private sector. Most of the members of the Obama administration are either Chicago mobsters or tax cheats.

I agree that health care needs to be reformed, but the Republican plan is much better and cheaper than the Democrat plans now being debated in Congress.
