Senior Entergy VP receives award

An Entergy Nuclear executive has been recognized by the American Nuclear Society.
Donna Jacobs of Jackson received the Mary Jane Oestmann Professional Women’s Achievement Award. Jacobs is the senior vice president for planning, development and oversight for Entergy Nuclear. She joined Entergy in March 2008 and has more than 22 years of experience.
In 2006, Jacobs was the first American to receive the Women in Nuclear Global Award. She has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Wichita State University and a master’s of business administration from Emporia State University. Both are in Kansas.
She is a board member for the Mississippi Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She is a coach in softball leagues in Madison.
Entergy Nuclear operates Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station, south of Vicksburg, in Claiborne County.
