Wanda B. Callen died Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 63.
Mrs. Callen was a Natchez native and had lived most of her life in Vicksburg. She retired from Vicksburg Medical Center and Vicksburg Clinic as a cashier. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Callen of Vicksburg; one son, Chris (Sylvia) Callen of Vicksburg; one daughter, Tracy C. Evans of Vicksburg; a brother, Marvin (Jo) Dampier of Vicksburg; two sisters, Juanita Scott of Tampa, Fla., and Darlene (Robert) Smith of Vidalia, La.; a granddaughter, Kristen D. Evans of Vicksburg; one stepgrandson, Edward Herring of Vicksburg; one stepgranddaughter, Angie (Josh) Warnock of Vicksburg; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father P.J. Curley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday with Rosary at 7:30.
Pallbearers will be John Elfer, Edward Herring, Josh Warnock, David Lyons, Michael Bailey and Steve Krapac.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Pierce III, Dr. Paul Pierce IV, Dr. Martin Newcomb, Dr. Stephen Zachow, Kimberly Fuller ACNP, parish of St. Michael Catholic Church, Providence Hospice of Vicksburg and River Region Emergency Room staff and physicians.
