• Robin Smith, Matthew Grogan and Will Conway are working at McAlister’s, where they are bussing tables, sweeping and greeting. Matt McKay is working at County Market, where he is gathering buggies from the parking lot, sweeping aisles and stocking groceries. Misty Grantham is working at Just Duett Sports, where she is dusting, vacuuming and organizing merchandise.

• The Library Club is partnering with the Warren County-Vicksburg Public Library in collecting gloves, mittens, hats, scarves and socks for United Way. Items may be dropped off at the library, and collection runs through Tuesday.
• Flashettes hosted Kids Night Out, featuring a movie, dinner, popcorn and pictures.
• Seniors held a luminaria prayer service on the football field in honor and in memory of loved ones.
• Quiz Bowl team members participated in Round 2 at Mississippi College.
• Athletic Awards ceremony was held in the gym to honor fall athletes.
St. Francis
• Students celebrated the Feast Day of St. Francis Xavier with a Mass.

• Intercession letters were mailed to parents of students needing tutorial on Monday. Response letters should be returned to Guidance Thursday.
• Staff and faculty members participated in a health fair sponsored by the VHS Health Committee under the direction of Dr. Josephine Calloway. Assistance was provided by Medical Associates, cholesterol and glucose testing; Gaskin Family Chiropractic, massage; Linda Fondren, lunch and exercise points; and River Region, nutrition information sessions. A spring fair is being planned.
Vicksburg Intermediate

• The Vicksburg Intermediate Young Singers won the Tween Choir and Musicians division at the annual V105.5 Christmas Caroling Contest.
• Teetee Braxton’s fourth-grade class created a replica of Look to North with paints and newspaper. After studying adjectives, the students made ice cream scoops using good, better and best sentences. • Gloria Blake’s class was named special area Star Class of the Week. Art classes made angels from paper plates.
• Kimberly Bolls was named WCI Teacher of the Year; LaTonyia Carroll was named Assistant Teacher of the Year.
• The school hosted a Winter Ball Friday. PTA meeting and Christmas program were held Tuesday. Christmas parties will be 9:30-11 a.m. Dec. 18; school will dismiss at 11:45 a.m.

• Tracey Johnson’s class adopted two Marines stationed in Afghanistan for Christmas. Students sent a variety of items in care packages, including Santa hats, Christmas cards, handwritten notes and colored pictures.
• Warren Junior Girls’ Club members made Thanksgiving bags filled with goodies for residents of Heritage House Retirement Center.
• Warren Junior Girls’ Club will sponsor a Christmas dance Friday. Admission is $5 and a new, unwrapped toy; dress is semi-formal.
• Warren Central High Madrigals and Total Sound presented a program to eighth-graders on Friday.
