Edwin Jarvys Clyburn

HERMANVILLE — Edwin Jarvys Clyburn died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at his home in Hermanville. He was 78.
Mr. Clyburn was a Claiborne County native and a former member of the Port Gibson National Guard. He was a veteran of the Army.
He was employed at DiamondJacks Casino and was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Clyburn; and a grandson, Shann Clyburn.
Survivors include one son, Timothy Dale Clyburn of Haughton, La.; a stepdaughter, Sharon Rose Carr of Port Gibson; three brothers, William Lee Clyburn of Birmingham, Ala., James “Sonny” Twiner of Pascagoula and Wiley Twiner of Valdosta, Ga.; four sisters, Sylvia Jean Saxon and Nancy B. Hatcher, both of Port Gibson, Wanda Elaine Twiner of Biloxi and Winnie Lee Biddleman of Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson with the Revs. James Twiner and Gage Hynum officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Randy Hynum, Kery Hatcher, Steve Chambliss, Mark Trevilion, Melvin Chambliss and Rockey Howard.
