TVs hot in thefts in area

Vicksburg and Warren County thieves appeared especially fond of flat-screen TVs Wednesday and this morning.
The owner of a 42-inch flat-screen LG TV valued at $600 told Vicksburg police it had been stolen from a home in the 100 block of Alcorn Drive at 6:24 this morning.
Another 42-inch flat-screen, this one valued at $1,000, was reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Locust Street at 1:08 p.m. Wednesday.
In the county, a 19-inch Philips flat-screen TV valued at $200 and an 18-inch gold rope necklace valued at $185 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Boykin Drive at 8:31 p.m. Wednesday.
Elsewhere Wednesday:
• Assorted electronics, video games, DVDs and two pairs of sneakers valued at about $3,740 total were reported stolen from a home in the 2100 block of Baker Street at 3:15 p.m.
• A 6-by-10-foot utility trailer valued at $800 was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 800 block of U.S. 61 North at about 3 p.m.
• A men’s gray Polo hoodie valued at about $60, six Polo T-shirts valued at about $90 total, a pair of men’s Oakley Gascan sunglasses valued at about $68 and a silver metallic prayer bracelet with gold accent beads valued at about $48 were reported stolen from an unlocked 2006 Chevrolet Malibu in the 300 block of Kolb Road at 10:46 a.m.
Woman surrenders after another cut
A Warren County woman surrendered to deputies Wednesday to face charges that she cut another woman during a fight early Saturday.
Andrea Adline Collins, 20, 1692 Standard Hill Road, was charged with aggravated assault, in the attack on Nakeshia Phillips, 23, no address available, said Sheriff Martin Pace. Phillips was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said.
Phillips told deputies she and Collins fought on Green Hill Road, but no witnesses had been found, Pace said.
Collins was released on a $20,000 bond.
