Odis D. Ingram

NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Odis D. Ingram, 90, of Centreville and formerly of Natchez, who died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel. The Rev. Dan Wynn will officiate.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Ingram was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Neshoba County, the son of Marcus D’Lafayette Ingram and Antonia Lizabeth Fox Ingram. He was a member of Natchez First Baptist Church. Mr. Ingram was a member of the Bennett Brothers Band in the 1940s, where he played steel guitar and was a vocalist, producing three records as well as performing live on WMIS Radio Station. He worked as a barber.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ingram Shows of Vicksburg; one son, Alan Ingram of Natchez; one granddaughter, Michelle Thomason and husband Will; and two great-granddaughters, Taylor Thomason and McKenzie Thomason, all of Vicksburg.
Pallbearers will be Fred Davis, Will Thomason, Joe Morris, A.J. Morris, Paul Mosser and Joe Mosser.
