The Warren County-Vicksburg Public Library was forced to close at noon Monday after an underground cable lost power on Saturday. Don Arnold, the Vicksburg spokesman for Entergy, said power was restored at about 7 Monday night, and library officers opened doors this morning, but without phone or Internet service, said director Deb Mitchell. The building is scheduled to be closed for Christmas beginning Wednesday night and reopen Monday. Arnold said an Entergy crew had to be brought to Vicksburg from Jackson because many Mississippi workers are on the East Coast assisting in the restoration of power there after a giant snowstorm.  (Katie Carter*The Vicksburg Post)
