Darlene Miller died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 28.

Ms. Miller was a member of Stanfield M.B. Church and a graduate of Vicksburg High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Derrick Magee; her grandfathers, Lewis Yates Sr. and Eddie Miller Sr.; and a brother, Danny Miller.

Survivors include her parents, Darlean Miller and Danny Lee Yates, both of Vicksburg; a son, Jeremiah Tyler of Vicksburg; two brothers, Preston Miller of Vicksburg and Dewayne Terrell Yates of Jackson; two sisters, Henrietta Miller and Teretha Miller, both of Vicksburg; her paternal grandmother, Juanita Yates of Vicksburg; her maternal grandmother, Eunice Miller of Vicksburg; and friends and other relatives, including members of the Brown, Johnson, Lindsey, Miller and Yates families of Vicksburg.
